I want to talk to the clinicians and coaches for a moment. You already know how to sit with someone in pain. You have training, presence, hard-won skill. And still, there are clients who plateau. They understand their patterns, they do the work, they feel better for a while, and then the same reaction returns. Right on cue. If you have felt the limits of talk and insight, and wondered whether something reaches the place words cannot, this is for you.
What EmRes® Training Teaches
Emotional Resolution® is a somatic, interoception-based process for resolving disruptive emotional patterns at their source. The EmRes® Training for Professionals is where I teach that method to practitioners who want to add it to their work.
It is built for healthcare and personal-development professionals. Over the course, you learn two distinct applications. The first is helping a client in the middle of an acute emotional moment, when the feeling is live and overwhelming. Right as it burns. The second is helping a client resolve a long-standing pattern after the fact, when they are calm but want a phobia, an anxiety, an irritability, or a low mood to stop running their life. Both rest on the same principle. You do not talk the client out of the emotion. You guide them to follow their own physical sensations until the nervous system completes what it never finished.
This is a different lever. It is not the one most of us were trained to pull. For clinicians who have spent years working at the level of thought, story, and meaning, learning to work at the level of sensation can feel like discovering a whole floor of the building you did not know was there.
Who This Training Is For
The training draws licensed therapists, counselors, and coaches, along with other helping professionals who want a body-based tool. You keep your own work. You do not need to abandon what you already do. Many practitioners fold EmRes® into an existing practice, using it alongside the modalities they already trust and reaching for it in the moments when talk therapy alone stops moving a client forward.
It tends to resonate most with a particular kind of clinician. You value evidence. You trust the nervous system. You are curious about affective neuroscience, the work of researchers like Antonio Damasio and Lisa Feldman Barrett on how the body constructs emotion. And you are honest enough to admit that regulation and insight, as useful as they are, do not always free a client from the pattern itself. If that describes you, you will likely feel at home here. I explore that exact gap, between managing an emotion and resolving it, in Why Regulation Isn't Enough, and it is the same gap this method is built to close.
How the Training Is Structured
The EmRes® Training for Professionals is delivered live online over Zoom, in modules that build on one another.
Module one runs three days as a group. This is the foundation. You learn the theory of how emotional patterns form and function, and then you practice actual sessions with fellow participants, so the method lives in your hands and not just your notes. Module two is a shorter group session focused on the real difficulties a practitioner runs into, with coaching to work through them. Module three spans two days and goes deeper into troubleshooting, refining your skill, and identifying the hidden fears that can stall a resolution. Before you reach it, you complete at least thirty resolutions with other people, keeping notes on each, so your own experience becomes the material we work from.
Module four is your certification, one-on-one with your trainer. Here you sharpen the weaker areas of your practice, deepen your grasp of the process, and learn a couple of advanced ways to apply it that only make sense once the fundamentals are in your hands. If you are not ready to certify at that point, you are not left guessing. Not at all. Your trainer maps out the specific steps to get you there.
There is a hands-on requirement worth naming directly. As part of the learning, you complete three resolutions on yourself with certified practitioners, at a flat rate of $100.00 each. Doing your own work is part of the training. It is how you learn to hold the process for others.
What You Carry Forward
Certification is not the end of the relationship. As a certified Emotional Resolution® practitioner, you gain access to continuing education and a supportive network of other practitioners doing this work. That matters. Learning a new modality can feel isolating, and having a community to consult, practice with, and grow alongside changes the experience.
For clinicians who need continuing education credits toward licensure, please [CONFIRM: whether EmRes® Training carries CE/CEU accreditation, through which accrediting body, and for which license types] before I state anything about formal CE credit.
After certification, the learning can keep going. There are advanced classes, including EmRes® applied to the body, addictions, and complex trauma, and a class on teaching self-directed EmRes®. These go further. They let you extend the work into more demanding territory once the foundation is solid.
Is It the Right Fit for You?
Only you can answer that. But there are a few honest signals. If your clients keep hitting the same emotional wall, if you sense that insight alone is not reaching the reaction, and if you are drawn to a body-based approach grounded in how the nervous system truly works, EmRes® may be a strong addition to your practice. It is not a replacement for your clinical judgment or your license. It is a tool, a precise one, for the moments when talk has done what it can and the pattern still holds.
Curious whether it fits? If this training points where you want your work to go, I would be glad to talk it through with you. You can reach out through my contact page and we can explore whether becoming an EmRes® practitioner is a good next step for you and the people you serve.
